Florida summers can be very hot, inviting you to enter the water. However, every body of water in Florida has something that will kill you from sharks to alligators to amoebas. Even the swimming pools sometimes have alligators.

To prevent kids from thinking it is safe to get in the water when they are hot it is necessary to introduce an element of danger to the Splash Pads. The Parks and Recreation director explained “that initially they thought of adding amebas to the water, but that would require lots of explanation and the kids today just ain’t as smart as they used to be.”

To make it easy for the kids to understand they decided to go with baby sharks. They even come with a song that the kids love. He sang “Baby Shark Doo Doo Doo.” Now I bet that’s stuck in your head sorry not sorry.

The baby sharks will add an element of excitement to the splash pad that the kids would not have if everything was safe. As the sharks start out as babies they will probably be only able to take a finger or two. As the kids gain experience the sharks will grow larger and more dangerous, so the kids will have to up their game.

When in the water you have to keep a look out for moccasins and gators. Now with the invasive pythons reaching up to 19 feet you have to keep those in mind too. You can never let your guard down in the water. The sharks will make the splash pad more exhilarating and most importantly the children will learn that in Florida the water is never safe.
