Eighth Grader Bill Leonard was horrified to learn that his mom can no longer do his home work. She was stymied by the problem of if a train leaves Chicago traveling at 35 miles per hour and a second train leaves St Louis traveling at 45 miles an hour when would they cross paths.
Bill has signed his mom up with the Khan academy in hopes that these lessons will improve her game. Although Bill has misgiving of whether her brain is still elastic enough to learn the new material. This is really tough material Bill sighed, “I don’t know if she is up for it.”
Mrs Leonard was dismayed at how difficult Bill’s math homework had become. This class is taking all my time, I have gained fifteen pounds. I have no time to go to the gym or run any more. When I get home from work I have to start working on Bill’s homework.
Bill’s math teacher Mr. Lanstrata clarified that he expected Bill to be the one doing the math homework. “I tried to explain to his mom that Bill really should be the one doing his homework to reinforce what he is learning in class”, said Mr. Lanstrata .
Mrs. Leonard acknowledged that Bill should really be doing his homework, but she hates to see her little buttercup upset. Don’t worry Mrs. Leonard after this article is published “little buttercup” Bill will have more worries in school than his math homework. In fact, classmates Paul and Henry can hardly wait to see Bill at school after learning his mom’s nickname for him.
