In a viral story out of Cape Coral, Florida a man in a Batman onesie managed to apprehend a man burglarizing cars. He restrained the burglar and held him until the police arrived. The Florida man said that his Batman pajamas gave him the confidence he needed to take action.
Now, Sheriff Al Nienhuis is planning to buy Batman pajamas for all of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deputies to give them confidence. They will wear the onesies under their uniform, but confidence will still be there, according to Sheriff Nienhuis.
Deputy Williams stated off the record that he was excited for the new onesies, because they were so soft. A problem that he mentioned is that the new onesie complicated restroom visits as you have to get nearly undressed.
Sergeant Corwallis explained because of this issue they are thinking of investing in two piece Batman pajamas instead. They believe that the two piece suits will still instill the confidence to act.
Dorthey Davidson stated she was excited by the idea of the deputies wearing Batman outfits under their uniform. She was hoping that they would put out one of those calendars like the firemen do.
