It has come to our attention that on social media and during public comment of County Commission meetings Not the Sun is being accused of publishing real news. “It’s like they don’t even read our articles,” said the Not the Sun editor anonymously.
We spoke to several Not the Sun employees off the record and they swore that at no time do they publish real news. Heck, “I make up all the quotes in the articles I write,” said one of our Not the Sun anonymous sources.
There are many detractors that claim that Not the Sun is not fake news. We did not speak with them because they are crazy and their imbalance kind of scared us. We did speak with someone who thinks they are crazy but tried to be understanding of where they are coming from, but the best he could do is “nope they are crazy.”
Another anonymous Not the Sun writer or maybe the same one (how are we supposed to know, they are anonymous) explained that he is able to write his articles quickly and make great money doing it because he does not need to go to the actual event or talk to anyone, since he just makes it all up.
So far we have not been able to validate any of the claims that Not the Sun even does a little bit of research, but it seems very unlikely that they are creating Real News. An excellent hint we discovered is the word “Satire” at the top of the web site.
