In a new record local student Judy attended school for almost two whole days before coming down sick. When asked about the secret to her health she stated that good hygiene was the key. “I constantly washed my hands,” Judy said.
After a summer away from her classmates, she entered into the arena with an immune system that was not familiar with the latest illnesses. “They had the whole summer to contract all sorts of viruses and I managed to stay well for a couple of days,” Judy exclaimed and then dissolved into a fit of coughing.
Her father was excited that this was the first year that Judy went to school on the second day of school. Usually it is one and done for about a week or two, but this year she made it past lunch on the second day.
Her mother credited the healthy homemade lunch that Judy took to school. She had organic chicken, fruit, and a salad. The nutritional value of that food and lack of processed sugars helped to boost her immune system. Her little sister chimed in that Judy got cheetos and oreos from her friends at lunch.
Her teacher Mrs. Williams thinks she knows the exact moment when Judy contracted the illness. “That Jeff kid’s parents never keep him home from school. He was sniffling and sneezing, since the start of school. I asked Judy to come up and answer a question on the white board and Jeff sneezed as she passed. Almost all the students paused for a moment knowing that Judy was definitely going to be sick. We then continued with the lesson and Judy is such a trooper she made it almost another entire day before she succumbed to illness.”
