District 11 State Senate Seat to be Decided by Men Bake Competition
Governor Ron DeSantis has agreed to allow District 11 to decide who will fill their vacant Senate seat through a Smack Down Men Bake competition where men wrestle and bake cakes in a single elimination tournament.
Blaise Ingoglia, State of Florida’s new Chief Financial Officer and former District 11 Senator proposed the idea today as he graciously accepted the new role bestowed upon him by governor Ron DeSantis.
“The Men Bake Smack Down is such a glorious event, it only makes sense to incorporate it into the electoral process,” Ingoglia said.
Local doctor Ralph Massullo has already thrown his hat into the ring, but he’s not the favorite now that it’s a wrestling / baking competition.
The LaRocca brothers are the favorite, with higher odds if Mama LaRocca helps bake the cake.
“It will be hard to beat the LaRocca brothers,” said Marvin Baynham who is also contemplating contesting for the seat.
Although there are concerns about how the LaRocca brothers will split their Senate duties should they win.
“Often only a single person wins an election so we are breaking new ground,” said Florida Senate Sergeant in Arms Jennifer Hemmingway.
