Hernando county landfill has decided to start launching garbage into Citrus county. They are currently in the process of building a giant trebuchet. When the trebuchet is complete they will be able to hurl a truck full of garbage at a time north into Citrus county.

“It was brilliant that we built the main landfill so close to the border, now to make sure that the landfill will last even longer we are hurling our trash into Citrus,” explained the landfill manager Bob.

A Citrus rancher was worried that the tons of trash could crush some of his cows. Jebediah Smith stated “that Hernando produced the trash and they should keep it in their borders. They even have a sign at the landfill stating that no Citrus county trash will be accepted and now they are flinging their trash at us. We can’t even take it back to them.”

Bob retorted on hearing this that maybe Citrus should have built their dump closer to a border. He said that the farmer may have a point about his cows being crushed. He went on to say that the cows could not be brought to the landfill as they were Citrus county trash. Although shooting one of those from the trebuchet would be a lot of fun.

Bob then changed his mind and decided he will accept cows from Citrus.

The Hernando County commission is on board with the new trash disposal concept. “We are constantly looking for ways to save the taxpayers of Hernando county money, this will save tons on trash disposal. Maybe we can even bring in some of that nuclear waste they are also looking for ways to dispose of”, said the district 6 commissioner. “They pay top dollar for disposing of that stuff.”
