Husband Professes Undying Love to His Wife Because Dating is Scary
A local husband professed undying love to his wife after watching a movie that shared what modern dating is like.
“Having to date again is scary and very foreign to me after 20 years of marriage, I doubt that I could pull it off,” said Kyle Hill.
Hill explained although he has heard of dating apps he had no idea how they work. He has heard of Tinder and swiping right, but did not really understand how it works in practice.
Last time he was dating he would take his date to a nice dinner and then go to the video store to get a movie to watch.
He is also intimidated by the idea of making small talk. “I know a bit about a couple of football teams and my job, but that is about it for things to talk about. I suppose the weather is a good topic but there is only so long you can talk about it being warm with a chance of rain. Oh yeah, and you can always mention that it is humid,” Hill said.
In the movie, the male love interest had created an instagram account and posted about the exciting things he was doing. Kyle realized that he does not do things that would look good on instagram other than walking his dog around the neighborhood. In fact, to look good on instagram he would have to take his dog to cool destinations, but his dog is not really friendly. He growls when people approach him. Thinking about it, Kyle realized he had more in common with his dog than he had noticed.
Kyle decided to head back inside and tell his wife how much he loves her.
“She might think I am being romantic, but truth be told I am making an analytical decision based on the amount of effort it would take a man like me to reenter the dating scene,” he admitted.
