Having one organization to represent the one way pairs was just untenable, said a Brooksville Main Street Board member. How can the same organization that represents one way east roads be expected to represent one way west roads? No one really likes Jefferson Street. I have always said that Broad Street is where it is at.

Brooksville Mainstreet whose mission is “to honor the small town charm and spirit of our hometown by fostering a strong sense of community and family. We are dedicated to historic preservation and revitalization; ensuring Brooksville’s unique character and deep roots thrive for future generations” had no choice but to split into two.

This will be a boon for downtown Brooksville said long time resident Michael Steele. Just imagine dueling Christmas tree lightings one at the courthouse and another in WWJBs parking lot.

Police from across the state will be brought in to keep the two sides separate. Unitarian universalist William Howard commented on how he loves everyone, but he cannot abide by those inhuman crazies that think Broad Street is better than Jefferson.
